2012 Black Dog "White Team"
Our summer travel teams have, once again, filled up very quickly(U11 team still has openings). In fact they filled up so quickly that a lot of players are now scrambling to find a summer lacrosse option! Most clubs would simply state “We’re Full” and that would be the end of it, but not Black Dog! We have come up with another exciting opportunity to grow the Black Dog Lacrosse name and to continue providing York County lacrosse players with options.
Black Dog Lacrosse is proud to introduce the Black Dog “White” teams.
What is the “White” team? Simple.
The “White” team is our active “waiting list”. Instead of placing you on a static waiting list with a “we’ll call you if we need you” mentality we invite you to attend all of our practices, work out with the team, learn the playbook from our coaching staff and be ready to “suit up” should an opening present itself. Every summer we run into situations where players end up missing a tournament. People get sick, there are injuries and unexpected vacation opportunities pop up. In the past we would try to recruit a replacement or end up going to a tournament shorthanded. This summer we would draw a replacement from the “White” team based upon the position that we need to fill and the replacements availability.
Most summer camps and summer clinics range in price from $125.00 - $600.00. You usually attend these for 3 – 5 days. To join the Black Dog program there is a $50 registration fee for which you would get roughly 12 practices, a practice pinnie and preferred access to Back Dog training events! Due to insurance concerns we would also require all players (Blue, Black and White) to be current members of USLacrosse.
